Pellegrini and Sinner are erupting on social media: followers are attacking, demanding "Don't touch the champion."

No one should touch Jannik. This is a summary of what happened to multiple Olympic medalist Federica Pellegrini , a pure champion in Italian history, yet who, let's say, fell (on social media) for a few hours after speaking out—months ago—about the Clostebol scandal involving Sinner. The day after her Wimbledon victory, she saw a deluge of polemical posts—to say the least—against her in the comments section of her social media profile.

Jannik Sinner won at Wimbledon 2025 and shortly after, an " army" of fans of the king of tennis flocked to his Instagram page.

According to Pellegrini—in a nutshell—Jannik (as she stated in a comment months ago) enjoyed special treatment compared to other athletes. The former swimmer had never backed down from her position and had previously been involved in social media clashes with Sinner's fans. Now, after the South Tyrolean champion's triumph in London, some fans have turned against her.

The war is fought over by posts "You're gnawing on Sinner... 😂... he's Number 1", writes a fan of the tennis player, and then: " Anyway, I only know the Comedy of Divina ", comments another ironically (citing the nickname Pellegrini earned with her swimming exploits).

Pellegrini's "defenders" In defense of the champion, however, there is a certain Antonio who retorts: " Now everyone is with Sinner, but the divine one remains the divine one !!!!", and so is a certain Roberto who writes: "Maximum support for Pellegrini, who first of all should not be touched , let's realize who we are talking about on a sporting level ....and then she only expressed an opinion on Sinner and I believe that can be done in complete freedom, then everyone makes their own choices without offending...she didn't say he's a delinquent.....that's all"

At the 2009 Rome World Championships, Federica Pellegrini sets a new record of 1'52.
